WORKING TOGETHER
GROWING TOGETHER

A CLUBHOUSE GUARANTEES:
  • a right to a place to come
  • a right to meaningful work
  • a right to meaningful relationships
  • a right to a place to return

The clubhouse philosophy is based on the principle that membership in the club is voluntary and at no cost to the member. Membership is for a lifetime and members are always welcome to return to the clubhouse after an absence.

Staff and members work side-by-side in the work units to complete the tasks of the organization during the work ordered day. Other benefits of the program include Transitional Employment job opportunities and an active social program.

Our clubhouse provides an opportunity for members to use their skills, receive emotional support, make friends, and build self-esteem and self-confidence in their abilities.

The members who wish to return to the work force can improve their skills or develop new ones by volunteering to work in the differant areas of the clubhouse.

HOW Passageway BENEFITS MEMBERS:

I didn't work for 28 years.  Thanks to Passageway support I just got my first job.

Ginger Novelle, Member.

After years of feeling alone, the opening of Passageway was truly beyond my wildest dreams.  Through its opening, I have friends, I have traveled, I have gone back to work and am able to live an independent life.  All thanks in part to Passageway.

Mary McFadden, Member & Co-Founder

Passageway gives me the opportunity to learn something.

James Lanning, Member

Our experience with Passageway has been wonderful.  The women we had working for us were great.  We felt the program to be beneficial for all parties.  We look forward to next spring and our next group.

Joyce Renes, TE Employer, Renes Greenhouse
